Brief         To provide a colourful backdrop to two teenage boys room

Budget     2K

The new attic conversion provided 2 new bedrooms for the young teenage brothers. They had identical finishes and identical storage joinery, so it was imperative we provided concepts for both which were personal and individual.  We engaged Sydney street artist Elliot Routledge of 'Numskull' to provide an abstract backdrop to each room. Our proposals for the eldest of the two remained neutral, with bold shapes and a simple black and white palette.  Silhouettes flew into the sheets above the bed and abstract shapes which mimicked music notes [the client was a drummer] adorned a series of walls in his room. The younger was a keen guitarist and his palette was slightly more playful with a strong combo of blue and white shapes. Additional items spoke of an Atomic age, with shapely chairs and light fittings for their built in desk joinery and bedside table lighting.
