CHINTA RIA DINING ROOM
SCOPE OF WORKS | INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE + LANDSCAPE DESIGN
Based on the success of Chinta Kechil and the closure of Simon Goh's flagship Chinta Ria restaurant in Darling Harbour, the client engaged us to create a new Chinta Ria dining room where both his loyal patrons and his stoic and gigantic [approx. 2 x 2m in size] Buddha could find a new home. This fitout sought to integrate with its predecessor, Chinta Kechil but also sought its very own identity. Reclaimed french railway sleepers, dream like linen drops and louvered facades, created an immediate sense of old world charm. The project demonstrates a masterful play of inside and out.
" Simon had a very strong vision of the space right from the get go. He wanted exactly what we did; to create a raw, authentic Malay dining experience. This allowed for a wonderfully spirited collaboration"
